Where do the leads attach on a Nuheat mat?

Standard Mats have their leads attached at one corner, allowing them to be flipped without any concern for orientation. This means that the lead can be positioned near the thermostat.

Do I need a separate electrical circuit and circuit breaker for the flooring mat?

While a dedicated circuit is advised, it’s not always mandatory in certain code jurisdictions. However, it is preferable to have a dedicated circuit. In cases where the GFCI is installed on a shared circuit, it might trip occasionally, or even daily.

Will my existing heat cause the radiant system to perform poorly?

The thermostat for the radiant floor heating systems uses a sensor wire to track the temperature of the floor itself, so it will not affect the system if the ambient temperature of the room is changed by the baseboard heater.

Can Nuheat mats be repaired if damaged?

Yes! Nuheat heating wires can almost always be fixed. If you know where the break is, you can get the suitable repair kit and have an electrician repair it.
